Questions
Common questions about assessment and psychotherapy.
These answers come from the practice hours, address, and service pages. They are written for people deciding whether to book a consultation — not as a substitute for clinical advice.

The practice is at 34 County Road, Tiny, Ontario L0L 2J0.
What are the hours?
Monday through Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Is care in person or virtual?

How do I book a consultation?
Prospective clients may request a complimentary 15-minute consultation by phone, text, email, or the consultation form. The practice will confirm whether the requested service is available and appropriate.
Do I need a referral?
A physician's referral may not always be required to contact the practice. However, a referral may be requested in certain circumstances or by an insurance provider, school, employer, or other third party. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Does an assessment guarantee a diagnosis?
No. An assessment determines whether the available information and findings support a particular diagnosis. Sometimes the findings indicate that diagnostic criteria are not met, that additional information is needed, or that another explanation better accounts for the person's concerns.
How long does an assessment take?
The length of the assessment depends on the referral question, the individual's developmental stage, the complexity of the concerns, and the amount of testing required. The expected process, appointments, fees, and timeline will be discussed before the assessment begins.
Will the assessment be confidential?
Assessment information is handled in accordance with applicable professional, ethical, and privacy requirements. Before services begin, the limits of confidentiality and any circumstances involving third-party referrals will be explained.
Are assessment fees covered by insurance?
Some extended health-benefit plans provide coverage for psychological assessment services. Coverage varies by insurer and policy. Clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider directly to confirm eligibility, annual limits, referral requirements, and the professional credentials required for reimbursement.
How often are sessions scheduled?
Many clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions. Frequency depends on clinical needs, goals, availability, and practical circumstances.
Are psychotherapy services covered by insurance?
Many extended health-benefit plans provide some coverage for psychotherapy. Clients should confirm the eligible professional designation, annual limits, referral requirements, and reimbursement process with their insurer.
What happens after I submit a request?
The practice will contact you to discuss the service, fit, availability, fees, and next steps. Submitting a request does not establish a clinician-client relationship.
